Bed Bug Bites
Given the scientific name of Cimex Lectularius, bed bugs are among the most feared bugs for the reason that they do not reside in trees and plants as most bugs usually do – they reside in our home, particularly in our sofas and beds. Of course, it doesn’t make things better that they feed on the blood of warm blooded animals, which unfortunately is the category that we fall under. Hence, there have been reported bed bugs attack all year round,
Bed bugs are visible to the naked eye with an adult growing to about a fourth of an inch while the newborns (also called hatchlings or nymphs) are about the size of a poppy seed.

Although they are visible though, people are not exactly in a habit of scrutinizing a bed or a couch before plopping into it. Hence, they end up as victims of these tiny parasites.

You might be thinking that they are tiny and cannot do much harm to a human being. Although bed bug bites do not necessarily kill, their bite is worse than that of a normal bug because they bite in sets of threes. That is why you will not just get one bite but a group of three.

Of course, bed bugs will not be called an “infestation” if there are just one or two of them.
Remember that these creatures lay eggs so when bed bugs attack you, chances are your body will be filled with tiny red bumps that are itchy.

Though the severity may vary from one person to the next, it is safe to say that one look at your skin when you wake up in the morning after a bed bug attack would make you immediately set an appointment with a dermatologist.
